Megan Berrett

Utah Museum of Fine Arts

Megan and her mother were delightful to work with as we planned a truly stunning wedding to reflect Megan's elegant sense of style and her mother's sense of "Southern Hospitality"! Scenemakers transformed the Utah Museum of Fine Arts entry with layers of black velvet, copper organza, and twinkling candle walls. As guests entered the grand hall, they were offered tidbits of Coconut Shrimp, Maple Salmon, and Cordon Bleu on our signature floating buffets. The bride and groom mingled and danced with guests as they even found time to sample the Chef Beef Carvery, Mashed Potato Bar, and Flaming Crepes Suzettes stations. Aspen trees and candles to delight the eyes...scrumptious food and presentation to satisfy the palette all combine for a most memorable evening.

Katie Berry

Berry Home

Talk about a dream to work with! From the very beginning, Katie and her mother, Gail, new exactly what they wanted and worked with us to provide them with Katie's dream Wedding with such graciousness and warm heartedness. It was a joint effort, with Gail and Katie searching fabric stores for just the right table runners, and our staff searching out photo booths and gorgeous, ivory lamour linens. The menu was sophisticated and upscale showcasing our beer-braised sirloin tips and Vietnamese Lacquered Chicken along with vertical displays of desserts and a fabulous tube slide for the lemonade stand! I do have to say that the most spectacular feature of Katie's reception was the giant tent glittered with hanging votives. I have never seen anything like it and the result was astonishing. Guests mingled into the evening under this twinkling canopy while they enjoyed the menu, music, and most of all- The Berry's.

Jen Cho

Red Butte Garden

With Jen's fabulous taste and attention to detail, we were able to work together to create a very sophisticated and warm reception at Red Butte Gardens. Her color choices were ivory and paprika with accents of green and orange. The style was modern and streamlined with a natural undertone representing Jen and Mike's love for the outdoors. The menu was detailed and edgy featuring individual sushi plates and Thai Lettuce Wraps. The "Ball and Chain" specialty drink was a huge hit with it's bright cherry garnish and layers of beverage. Even the children's settings were adorable with brown bag place mats and colored pencils alongside their very own box lunches personalized with each child's name!

Mallory Lake

Rose Sachs Gardens

Vegetarian cuisine, burlap linens, and unassuming, approachable service all centered on a "go green" lifestyle choice. Mallory Lake, her mother Joann, and Jeremy first approached us with some definite ideas about their reception. It had to be unique and eclectic in appearance without feeling too formal or staged and the food should be vegetarian with a tiny Asian influence. Mallory was committed to living a "green" and sustainable life alongside her fiancé Jeremy and wanted her reception to reflect these ideals. We were up for the challenge and worked closely with them on the details necessary to produce an earthy yet sophisticated reception introducing their guests to upscale vegetarian cuisine. The outcome was a gorgeous setting and a fabulous menu!

Whole Poached Salmon, Carved Pork Loin, Pesto Tortellini Salad, and a never-ending display of our Signature Finger Desserts are just some of her delectable offerings to ingratiate her guests.

Jessica Burbidge

Burbidge Home

Warm, classic, and inviting. The Burbidge's backyard was transformed into a beautiful Autumnal setting. The bride chose colors in copper, lime, and ivory accented with gorgeous flowers and fall foliage. Acorns and pinecones were featured in a fabulous ice tube slide and the cake table was beautifully decorated with a custom grosgrain ribbon and pinecone design. The flow and layout were executed perfectly in this yard where space was an issue. Dinner stations nestled around the perimeter allowed 400 guests to comfortably mingle throughout the evening. Guests danced into the night to the fabulous JD Moffit band and the specialty lighting strung over the yard along with the dimly lit tents covering the food stations created a truly magical evening.

Tahitain Noni Gardens

There's nothing quite as lovely as an outdoor garden wedding, especially when it's set in the breathtaking Tahitian Noni Gardens. Guests entered through the Japanese gardens, across the arched bridge, and into a magical world of twinkle lights, luscious linens, and glorious food. The evening started with butler-passed hors d'oeuvres and a custom monogrammed ice slide, and then moved to chef action stations for dinner. Vertical buffets of scrumptious desserts and a home-made cookie bar tempted guests as they danced the night away.

Megan and Bryce Asay

Asay Home

The summer of 2006 brought another glorious Asay wedding. The bride, Megan Letich had her own distinctive style which brought a plethora of new ideas and colors to the Asay weddings. Vibrant tangerine and fushia set the stage for her "Summer Soiree" on the grounds of the Asay "barn". Pan-seared Macadamia-crusted Sea Bass, a Fresh Strawberry Station including mini strawberry shortcakes, and a grilling station serving mini hamburger, hot dogs, and pomme fritzes in parchment cones were just a few of the mouth-watering temptations awaiting the guests. Creating an Asay wedding is always more of a love affair than work. I have a life-long bond with this family and Megan's fun-loving personality showed through at every turn. Thank you, Megan, for the honor of serving you on this most memorable of occasions.

Shala Parrish

Parrish Home

This is one of the most elegant, breathtaking weddings I have ever catered. Shala's every decision was influenced by the grand ballroom setting in her parent's home, and her exquisite sense of style. Blush dupioni silk linens with hand-embroidered pearls, cafe lamour chair ties, silk-screened lime toppers for the veranda; every detail was fine-tuned to create a masterpiece. The classic cuisine included ice sculptures with shrimp cocktail and garden fruits, chef-carved roast pork loin, asiago polenta, vertical buffets of appetizer delicacies and artistic petite desserts, just to name a few! Mini ice cream cones were passed as guests watched Shala and her groom swirl around the ballroom for the final dance. A true fairytale celebration.

Larissa Laycock

Laycock Home

Nestled in the beautiful mountains in Alpine, Utah, the Laycock home provided the perfect setting for this stunning wedding. Lisa chose deep reds and elegant whites as the color palette; a perfect compliment to her dramatic long black hair and fair complexion. Scenemakers designed the florals using breathtaking roses, pomander balls, and rusted urns. I thoroughly enjoyed assisting Larissa and her delightful mother, Lisa, in selecting the perfect white damask linens and fruitwood chivair chairs. Butler-passed hors d'oeuvres greeted the guests as well as a light supper buffet featuring Carved Bleu Cheese-crusted Beef Tenderloin, fresh salads, our homemade breads, and dazzling desserts. The fresh lemonade stand and candy station were special hits with her kindergarten students. Fabulous from start to finish!

Chic, Trendy and Voluptuous... all words to describe this elegant wedding at the Utah Museum of Fine Arts. Katie Howard and her mother were full of creative ideas as we planned her perfect wedding day. A string quartet played and the ceremony was performed in the beautiful Grand Hall as 200 guests looked on. Guests were then escorted to the cafe cocktail area for mojitos, sparkling lemonades, vertical buffets of tempting tidbits, and butler-passed hors d'oeuvres. For dinner, the guests returned to the transformed Grand Hall to spectacularly detailed tabled settings, linens, and abundant chef-action stations. Shaurzad Talieh

Talieh Home

Tuscany was the chosen theme for this relaxed summer wedding. The couple had recently moved to Salt Lake City and all of their 150 guests were traveling in from New York. The bride wanted to entertain guests at her new home and we had many logistical road-blocks which had to be planned and coordinated to pull off this elaborate wedding. The dinner was served "family-style" with a series of artfully composed platters being served to each table. "Scenemakers" sunny Tuscan florals and the splendid long dining tables added to the evening's European ambiance. Through her Persian heriage, we learned the finer art of entertaining old-world entertaining and even how to make Persian coffee! Creating a bride's unique dreams and visions are one of my favorite parts of this ever-changing bridal business!

Brittany Losee

Grandparent's Home

If you love pink, you're going to love this wedding! I think this was one of the prettiest wedding Culinary Crafts has ever catered. The flowers were breathtaking, the gigantic clear-span tent was totally amazing as the rain drizzled above our heads, and the bride was gorgeous! Butler-passed hors d'ouevres greeted the guests, followed by 8 different action stations, monogramed beverage ice sculptures, and the trendy vertical appetizer buffets. I personally handled the wedding coordination for this special day and I loved every minute of working with this amazing family as they trusted my recommendations implicitly. The perfect celebration for the perfect couple.

Thackery Wedding

Thackery Home

One of the biggest trends we are seeing is the move to home weddings, and why not? When your home is as fabulous as this, every guest will be thrilled to attend in such an elegant setting.

The bride chose the romantic colors of celadon and white, which are always classic and never go out of style. Her father is one of Culinary Crafts' corporate customers, so he knew exactly which style and foods were his favorites. A large tent framed the chef-action stations where the chefs seared Maple-glazed Salmon and sauteed Asiago Ravioli. Guests gathered around the chocolate and caramel fountain presentations which were kept beautiful all night by the use of jumbo martini glasses. A scrumptious mocktail bar offered 3 varieties of fresh lemonade: Berry Bongo, Pomegranite Peach, and Ginger Mint. Guests stayed thoughout the evening for dancing around the pool and the sounds of the Joe Muscilino Band. Enchanting!

Briana Asay

Asay Home

Every once in a while an event comes along that I hold in my heart forever. Briana Asay's wedding was just such an event.

With only three months to plan, our company was full steam ahead in creating a magnificent celebration which perfectly matched her warm personality, her breathtaking venue, and her dream of a "barn-themed" wedding. On a blustery November evening, we entertained over 600 guests in the family's new "barn," to such delights as Applewood Smoked Honey Ham with House Orange Rolls, Home-made Soup and Hot Chocolate! There was even an apple pie for each guest to take home! Briana's breathtaking photos speak for themselves.

Heidi Kohler

Hotel Park City

This is at the top of the list of Mary's favorite weddings! The breathtaking garden setting of the Hotel Park City set the stage for this magical evening. Heidi and John planned this wedding long-distance from Las Vegas, as this was a "destination wedding" for them and their guests. Guests enjoyed a whole weekend of alpine experiences, which culminated in the ceremony and formal dinner. Guests enjoyed our appetizer gallery and passed hors d'oeuvres to the sounds of the Joe Muscilino Band. Following the scrumptious four-course plated dinner, guests thrilled to the live action chef's flaming Crepe Suzette and Bananas Foster in the night air. A perfect end to a perfect day.

Brenda's wedding was held in a beautiful home high above Salt Lake City. She chose the very vibrant colors of hot pink, orange and lime green. Brenda served a Lite Supper Buffet, which is perfect for the bride who wants more than appetizers but doesn't want to go over the top with a full dinner buffet. She had the most amazing wedding cake ever! Her attention to detail was best seen in the huge floating monogram which adorned the pool. This romantic evening ended with the couple dancing in the evening twilight of a perfect western sunset.

Guests were greeted to a fabulous ice presentation of sushi, shrimp, and lobster as the couple's signature cocktail was passed around by our handsome butlers. The tennis court was transformed to a light canopy of Japanese lanterns and Irish linen tables. The bride chose a variety of table shapes and sizes, each with a unique centerpiece to create a visual masterpiece of color. A four-course formal dinner was followed by dancing, cake service, and a final food temptation of our house-made mango and raspberry sorbets. Our chef created the custom entrée of Macadamia-crusted Sea Bass with Coconut Curry Sauce and Papaya Chutney, which has since become our most requested recipe.

Rebecca Clark

Clark Home

Rebecca's personal English Garden style was employed at every turn of this romantic wedding reception. She displayed four generations of china and wedding photos to complete the Victorian feel and atmosphere. Rebecca chose a Lite Supper Buffet with Whole Poached Salmon, Carved Pork Loin with Orange, Ginger, and Rosemary, and an extravagant Grand Finale Finger Dessert Buffet, just to mention the highlights. The breathtaking buffets were beautifully staged, one around the pool and another in the upper terrace tent. As always, our well-mannered maitre d' s orchestrated the flow and timeline of the evening. Guests stayed well into the evening to dine and dance... a tribute to the gracious family and hosts.
