A Sophisiticated, Elegant Wedding

Wednesday, September 8th, 2010

Today I wanted to share a beautiful wedding of understated sophistication and elegance.  Here is what Mary had to say about it:

“In the style of the truly classic Martha’s Vineyard, the Cyd Brunken wedding was a genuine reflection of the bride’s home and family life.  I loved meeting with Cyd and her parents as we put her vision to life with her menu, linens, floral, and design.  The lush backyard garden was the perfect setting for the low-hanging lanterns, rattan lounge furniture, and natural linen table cloths.  And what flowers could be more perfect than hydrangeas!”

What a breathtaking cake!  Made by Maha at Pastry Arts Barrani.

Guests were greeted by passed hors d’oeuvres and later enjoyed passed mini gelato cones. How cute!

The lite supper buffet featured long-stemmed strawberries, chef-carved roast pork loin, and an array of summer salads and breads.

How awesome is the beverage station with bottled French lemonage and sparkling waters?  Such a creative detail.

Guests danced the night away to the sounds of the Joe Muscolino Band.

What a spectacular wedding!  A true illustration of simple beauty!

A Romantic Wedding with Vintage Details: Behind the Scenes

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

Hi all!  Today I wanted to give you a fun peek behind the scenes with Mary at the wedding we featured last week.  You can see that wedding  here if you need a reminder.  :)   Here’s a note from Mary:

“One of the things which sets Culinary Crafts apart is our on-site preparation of all the hot food items.  We set an on-site kitchen in a staging tent and brought our chefs to prepare much of the menu on site and served directly from oven to table for restaurant-quality food service.”

I know this sneak peek was small, but I hope it was entertaining!  Stay tuned for more from the reception in the future!

A Romantic Wedding with Vintage Details

Tuesday, August 31st, 2010

Today I have a GORGEOUS wedding to share with you that is full of elegance, style, and delicious details.  (AND its been featured on Martha Stewart!!!  Check it out here.)  Here is a little bit about the wedding from Mary Crafts, who oversaw the event:

“Beauty, romance, soft lace, vintage styling…are the words for Lauren’s wedding.  Her sense of style was evident at every turn in the perfectly orchestrated wedding by Amorology Wedding Planners, Culinary Crafts, and Scenemakers.   One of my favorite touches was the seating card table designed with heirloom jewelry and vintage lace. The dining tables were a site to behold with lace and linen cloths, custom napkins, menu cards, and overflowing candy at the children’s tables.

Here are some photos from the event:

How awesome is the vintage jewelry?  It really adds a extra special touch to the table!

This table is incredible!  The use of the vintage frames and photos of the couple is an amazing idea to really set the table apart.

I hope we’ve peaked your interest with this stunning wedding…  But its only the beginning!  Stay tuned for future posts about the venue, dessert, and a behind the scenes look!

New Venue: Blue Sky Ranch

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

We here at Culinary Crafts are always looking for new and outstanding places to include on our venue list and today I’d like to showcase our newest addition:  Blue Sky Ranch!  Kaleb, Mary, Rachel, and Ryan took a trip up there and here’s what Rachel had to say:

“We had the opportunity to visit a brand new venue just recently.  Blue Sky Ranch features a hilltop yurt, a pond, horseback riding and hiking trails, a horse arena, and a cabin bar on top of a mountain!  Not only is it perfect for company retreats and team building exercises, the arena can seat up to 400 guests to accommodate a wedding or a holiday dinner.  Check out these photos from our visit.  We love Blue Sky and cannot wait to begin hosting events there…”

Here are some photos:

Ryan, Mary, Rachel, and Kaleb standing in front the rowing pond, just beyond the Yurt.  So picturesque!

Gorgeous scenery and the Yurt.  The Yurt can host up to 30 guests for a company meeting or intimate dinner.  How fun!

What a unique place!  This is the mountain top bar, all within this rustic cabin.

Aren’t the horses beautiful?  Horseback trail rides are available!

This is the view from the mountain top bar area.  I wouldn’t mind hanging out there all day!  Lucky Mary!

This is the horse arena…  Its still in it’s construction phase, but what a fantastic place for large events!  We can’t wait to start hosting events here…

Simply GORGEOUS!  What an amazing and incredible venue and we are so proud to partner with them!
