New Venue: Blue Sky Ranch

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

We here at Culinary Crafts are always looking for new and outstanding places to include on our venue list and today I’d like to showcase our newest addition:  Blue Sky Ranch!  Kaleb, Mary, Rachel, and Ryan took a trip up there and here’s what Rachel had to say:

“We had the opportunity to visit a brand new venue just recently.  Blue Sky Ranch features a hilltop yurt, a pond, horseback riding and hiking trails, a horse arena, and a cabin bar on top of a mountain!  Not only is it perfect for company retreats and team building exercises, the arena can seat up to 400 guests to accommodate a wedding or a holiday dinner.  Check out these photos from our visit.  We love Blue Sky and cannot wait to begin hosting events there…”

Here are some photos:

Ryan, Mary, Rachel, and Kaleb standing in front the rowing pond, just beyond the Yurt.  So picturesque!

Gorgeous scenery and the Yurt.  The Yurt can host up to 30 guests for a company meeting or intimate dinner.  How fun!

What a unique place!  This is the mountain top bar, all within this rustic cabin.

Aren’t the horses beautiful?  Horseback trail rides are available!

This is the view from the mountain top bar area.  I wouldn’t mind hanging out there all day!  Lucky Mary!

This is the horse arena…  Its still in it’s construction phase, but what a fantastic place for large events!  We can’t wait to start hosting events here…

Simply GORGEOUS!  What an amazing and incredible venue and we are so proud to partner with them!

YOUR VENUE SETS THE TONE FOR YOUR WHOLE RECEPTION

Since we’re in the middle of wedding season, I thought to post some indoor venue options that are off the beaten path.  Yes, there are gorgeous garden venues such as Red Butte Gardens, McCune Mansion, and Rose Sachs Gardens that blow me away with their gorgeous settings, but, these next few are just a bit different for the more eclectic brides or the brides looking for some different details in their wedding….ricart-libraryThis is a recent wedding at The Salt Lake Library.  Not only is it a really cool architectural space, but you can have a lot of fun naming your tables after authors and tying the books and bookshelves into your wedding.

716468620_zphjh-lThis is the Black box at the Utah Opera House.  It is a blank canvas which, enhanced by lighting, becomes a chic and sophisticated venue for those who are interested in the Dramatic.

814186341_3jphx-l1This is Rice Eccles Stadium and whether your a Ute or a Cougar, nothing competes with these views!

salt-lake-hardwareThis is the Salt Lake Hardware building and one of Salt Lake’s hidden treasures. It’s a delicate mix of industrial and sophisticated with it’s great history and modern renovations.

2 New Venues for Culinary Crafts!

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009

I want to share some exciting news with all our brides and corporate clients. We have just been given the “preferred caterer” contract at The Depot and Grand Hall at the Gateway. There are so many options here from an intimate dinner for 25 guest to the full blow-out event for up to 3000!

The second venue is The Swaner Eco Center in Kimball Junction, Park City where we are honored to be their exclusive caterer. This is Utah’s only “Leed” Platinum Building with indoor and outdoor areas set in a beautiful mountain setting. I particularly love the 40 foot pier out into the preserve where hundreds of birds and wild life call home.

These venues are so different but so perfect for the unique style of our clients. Culinary Crafts is the preferred caterer at more venues than any other caterer in Utah, and I would love to help all of you find the ideal location for your next event. Just send me your details and I’ll make some recommendations just for you!

Sincerely, Mary Crafts
