A Modern, Chic Wedding at NHMU!
By ACecala
Today I have a STUNNING event to share with you all! Not only was this AMAZING wedding just a beautiful event that we had the honor of seeing published in Utah Bride and Groom Magazine, but it was the first (and to date, the only) same-sex wedding to be published in a Utah bridal magazine! So amazing - and we think you'll see why we love this event so much too - check it out!
Isn't this a great bridal party photo? David Newkirk perfectly captured the high-style feel of this day!
The grooms-to-be selected the incredibly chic venue of the Natural History Museum of Utah to host their wedding celebration - and it was a great fit! The natural beauty of the architectural materials and the modern design makes this space such a jaw-dropping venue. We also love that they chose the date of their 10-year anniversary to seal their commitment to each other forever. Love it!
We also loved the modern monogram that the grooms used through the event to "brand" the day. Such a fabulous idea and great way to tie together your details!
The design, by our friends at FUSE Weddings & Events, hit this one out of the park. Mixed metallics and the primary pop of copper was GORGEOUS - love that detail especially since NHMU is accented with copper from the Rio Tinto mine. So, of course, the venue blended in with this palette just beautifully.
How pretty is this tablescape? Love those geometric centerpieces by Orchid Dynasty!
Another high style touch? The avant-garde "Champagne Bride" who "passed" champagne to the guests. This TOTALLY set the mood for a chic, stylish event!
How pretty is this sweetheart table? Love the ghost chairs and copper wrapped florals!
We worked closely with the grooms and FUSE to create a menu that was over-the-top, but also showcased the couple's individual personalities. For example? The His & His hors d'oeuvres included Tomato Soup with Mini Grilled Cheese Bites (the couple's favorite meal) and a take on nachos 2 ways - including a play on 7-11's nachos! So fun!
The guests took a seat for dinner and enjoyed breathtaking views of Salt Lake City while they were served. A stunning view, if you ask me!
We also served Fresh Strawberries with Cream and the first course in their plated dinner was a delicious Goat Cheese and Beet Terrine. SO YUMMY!
The Main Course was a "Great Duo" entree of Lobster & Beef. Decadent AND pretty!
Lastly, the guests were given a palette cleanser of our house-made Raspberry Sorbet to finish out the meal before they had wedding cake for dessert.
We simply LOVED this wedding! It was full of so much joy and we had SO much fun planning the menu! Thank you to Utah Bride & Groom for publishing it - because Culinary Crafts believes LOVE is LOVE and it's all equal! Happy dreaming, everyone!
