Today, I'd like to showcase a reception truly out of the ordinary. You may remember the stellar rehearsal dinner we showcased for this bride and groom that even had a North Carolina style pig roast! You can check out that post here if you need to jog your memory. :) Today, we see their fantastic reception held at the truly spectacular Salt Lake City Library. We filled this wedding to the gills with special touches and custom accents and the venue not only spoke 'volumes' (I couldn't resist) about the couple and their love of literature, but the glass windows and reception site were drop dead gorgeous. Enough talking though, lets get to the pictures!
Guests started out on the roof of the library for a few appetizers and a stunning view of the city.
Remember those custom accents I mentioned earlier? Well take a look at the breads individually wrapped with parchment paper and raffia and the elegant custom chair ties! Chair ties are a really simple way to amp up your event and Culinary Crafts can definitely offer this service to you for any event!
The couple really wanted to tie in the venue as well as showcase their love of the written word so they named each table after a favorite author of theirs and used books to create some unique centerpieces that definitely were conversation starters!
What a great favor! The bride decided to get jars of locally made honey for their guests! Sweet!
The natural light and high ceilings really made this reception visually appealing. I love the way the tables lay out!
And of course, the food was another gorgeous affair! I love the artful way the salad was displayed. Delectable!
I hope this inspired you to think of venues outside of the typical and don't be afraid to find places that really speak to you and hold a special significance to you both as a couple!
