Apple Glazed Brussels Sprouts, with Bacon!

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 lbs Brussels sprouts (trimmed and cut in half)
  • 1 Apple (any variety)
FOR THE GLAZE
  • ¾ cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 TBSP lemon juice
  • 2 TBSP honey
  • ¼ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 tsp allspice
  • 1/3 tsp nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ground mustard
  • 1 ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2-3 tsp cornstarch
  • Salt and Pepper
METHOD 1. Whisk all glaze ingredients together so there are no lumps 2. Cut up apple into ¼ - ½ inch squares 3. Spread trimmed Brussels sprout halves on a sprayed sheet pan, toss with a little olive oil and salt and pepper. Roast in oven for about 5 to 10 minutes until golden brown and soft. 4. While Brussels sprouts are roasting, sauté apples in a pan. 5. Add the glaze to the pan, cook until thickened. 6. When sprouts come out of the oven toss with the glaze/apple mixture. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
