Today, I am happy to share with you one of my favorite events of the year! This wedding was brimming with fabulous handmade touches and GORGEOUS vintage china - which made for a truly stunning event. The bride, Iris, dreamed of having a collection of beautifully curated antique china as place settings at her wedding. Armed with this dream, Iris's mother started shopping - and a new local company, Blue Bird Vintage Rentals, was born! Not only did this wedding have these splendid pieces (which you can rent for your event too!) but the bride and groom made sure to handcraft and personalize their favors, flowers, and even their spin on a guest "book" idea! Check it out!
The ever beautiful Red Butte Garden was PERFECT for this organic and pretty event!
We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the pieces that Blue Bird Vintage Rentals found for this wedding and pairing them with the gorgeous vintage linens created a truly magical and garden-like feel.
The pops of color and different textures are perfectly paired at this table. It is really hard to create something so varied and have it look so effortless! The vintage linens and vessels for the centerpieces are also available for rent through Blue Bird Rentals. Amazing!
These "hand-picked" flower centerpieces were a great addition to the tables! The different vessels, colors, and blooms were beautiful and casual - all adding to the easy feel of this day. I also really liked that they used sprigs of pine trees for something a little unexpected as well!
The couple had their guests sign quilter's squares to me made into a wedding quilt later on. What a great keepsake! I also LOVE that they gave 'family honey' favors that were made from the groom' father's hives! And the illustration on the chalk board are so AWESOME!
To keep with the feel of the day, we opted for some casually elegant offerings. House-made Artisan Breads, Pink Salt Crusted Butter, A Fruit and Cheese Plate, Grilled Beef, and Grilled Trout. Yum!
We also served Spinach Salad with Cranberries, Blue Cheese, and Candied Walnuts, Roasted Veggies, and Grilled Zucchini! Mmm...
I love their simple, yet pretty cake made by Layers! The natural, wooden cake stands are amazing (and were handmade by the father and his girlfriend of Immortal Guitars) and the succulents and foxes are great details!
We were so happy to share this day and even more excited to see the first unveiling of Blue Bird Vintage Rentals offereings! For anyone who is looking for some truly beautiful china, definitely check them out! Happy planning everyone!
