New Venue: Land Cruiser Heritage Museum

By

Culinary Crafts had the honor of catering Toyota's “Ever Better Expedition” Tour recently and got to check out a new venue at the same time too!  The Land Crusier Heritage Museum, located in downtown Salt Lake City, is a unique, urban venue setting and although it may be subtle on the outside - make no mistake your guests will be blown away when they walk through the door.  Check it out!

LandCruiserMuseum5

This wide open warehouse space boasts classic exposed brick and showcases the ultimate back-drop, a beautiful, mint condition collection of Land Cruisers.  Spanning across the history of the Land Cruiser from the late 1950's to the present, it is a sight to behold and will make for an absolutely unforgettable event experience.

LandCruiserMuseum

This place is great for any type of event and has a seating capacity of up to 140 for sit down dinners and over 200 for reception style events.  And how fun is it that your guests can check out some AMAZING land cruisers during the event too!

For this event, this venue was a perfectly versatile setting to create a fun and casual cocktail reception as guests toured the museum - plus we served a variety of local Utah beers, which the guests loved!

After the cocktail reception, we invited guests to enjoy an elegant formal plated dinner menu.  How great does this place look?

Culinary Crafts made sure to keep guests full on delicious eats!  So, we served an array of local foods from grilled Rocky Mountain red trout to toffee cakes with Utah grown pistachios.  Yum!

We loved the opportunity to cater such a lovely event at such a great hidden gem of a venue!  If you'd like to host an event at The Land Cruiser Heritage Museum, contact Culinary Crafts for more details!

By

CC_IGofTW51combo Well, we here at Culinary Crafts had a whirlwind week!  Not only did we have our VERY first Farmer's Market AND announced our upcoming Pop Up Restaurant Series, but we also hosted the Art of Catering Food Conference with Catersource this week!  There were SO many amazing people who attended - and SO many awesome Instagram posts to choose from!  So, I decided to make it a double winner week!  First, we have an awesome capture of the Iced Cilantro Hibiscus Tea-ini bar inspiration that we shared with the attendees, one of whom was @peacockspantry, and the other capture is of our very own Mary Crafts-Homer riding the mechanical bull at one of the activities we lined up, shared by @pbsproul!  We loved all of the fun, inspiration, and food we got to enjoy during the conference and we so pleased to share just as much inspiration to attendees as we soaked up!  Such an amazing week and thank you to everyone who came and made all of the events so memorable!  Remember, for your chance to be next week's Instagram of the Week, add the hashtag #culinarycrafts to your posts or tag us at @culinarycrafts!  Happy weekend, everyone! Creative Coverings Linen Preview Party!

By

We recently had the distinct honor of hosting Creative Coverings's Linen Preview Party at our downtown venue, The Tasting Room!  We at Culinary Crafts LOVE the variety and style offered by Creative Coverings and we simply floored by the new styles they showed off!  From striking graphics, to Gatsby inspired, and every gorgeous detail in between, we just couldn't wait to show you their wares!  And brides, make sure to watch out for the next one in fall!  We'll be holding these twice a year and you'll be invited to check out the new trends, linens, and some delicious bites from Culinary Crafts!  In the meantime, check out our inaugural party! LinenParty Mojitos, anyone?  We also loved this quick pick of the hostesses of the event - Kate of Creative Coverings, Mary of Culinary Crafts, and Mara of Events by LMG! LinenParty2 The high boys we super stars with their various and vastly different linens!  I LOVED the intricate gold and pink overly - perfect for a gal looking for total GLAM!  Oh, and check out that blue tumbler glass- it's STUNNING! LinenParty3 Isn't this chair tie to die for?  Couple that with the ornate overlay and golden plates and you have a ultra-sophisticated take on a natural palette.  Who says natural has to be boring? LinenParty4 Of course we had to bring some TASTY morsels for the party goers!  Passed hors d'oeuvres we a wonderful way to keep guests moving a checking out the samples.  Plus, they were delish! LinenParty5 Another GORGEOUS way to dress up a chair!  I love the woven technique on this Chivari chair that is an unexpected touch of texture.  Plus. its quiet elegance really lets the bold coral runner with the yellow chevron overlay take center stage!  Coupled with the green glass goblet - we are in LOVE!  Have I mentioned that colored glass is one of my newest favorite trends?  Keep your eyes out for more! LinenParty6 This table was perfectly appointed with beautiful aqua silk linens and the Moroccan style graphic overlays are simply perfect.  One way to take a table from pretty to WOW is by adding a punch of a powerful overlay - and this patterned lovely is just the ticket!  With pops of pure white dishes with clean lines - this table is modern, elegant, and AMAZING!  And the white wine glass is another new glassware favorite for this year! LinenParty7 Another FABULOUS chair tie!  Plus, I love the sheer sparkle of the blush pink runner atop a vineyard table.  You don't always have to go rustic with the vineyard tables - they definitely are versatile and can be beautiful in SO many ways - especially this feminine, romantic style - with just a hint of glitz! LinenParty8 Hello bold patterns!  This linen is for one who loves bold, graphic styles and big punches of color!  So, you know I totally dig it.  Plus the texture of the charger is divine and perfectly ties in with this colors in the linen.  A great idea to mix it up by adding a few of these linens to an otherwise solid color linen line-up. LinenParty9 These new dishes are so pretty!  I love the delicate scroll detail and the gorgeous, feminine lines.  Perfect for the vintage bride!  Plus their netural color lends itself to pretty much ANY color palette! LinenParty10 Last but not least, we end with more of the decadent offerings the Culinary Crafts prepared!  Aren't the mini cheeseburgers so CUTE?  And you know we have to end the day with a sweet treat!  Mmm... Pharmacy Cup Polo Match: The Event

By

Hello dear readers and I hope you all enjoyed your Labor Day weekend!  Today, we'd like to share the last post from the FANTASTIC University of Utah Pharmacy Cup Polo Match - and this time, its all about the hats, polo match, and the legendary "Stomping of the Divots"!  Let's check it out!

A quick overview of the auction, the FOOD (I can't get enough of it!), and even Mary and Rick making sure everything is going off without a hitch!  The Pharmacy Cup was truly THE place to be!

Did I mention the hats!?  There were so many to see - all from chic and stylish to completely fun and whimsical!

One of the most recognized parts of any polo match is the "Stomping of the Divots" and the Pharmacy Cup did not dissappoint!  All the guests were out on the green taking part in this long standing tradition - and having a blast!

Talk about full service catering!  Culinary Crafts made sure all the guests were refreshed during the match and the stomping of the divots!

Lastly, they awarded the best hat a fantastic prize - and may I say it was definitely MY favorite hat as well!  This gent made his hat - complete with a dog biscuit ribbon accent!  A very well deserved win!

The Pharmacy Cup Polo Match was, by far, one of the most outstanding events that Culinary Crafts has had the honor of participating in all year.  Thank you so much for letting us add to the beauty and elegance of it all!  I hope you, our readers, enjoyed it as much as we did!
