Just in time for the July 4th holiday weekend, we have this AWESOME event that we did recently at The Tower at Rice-Eccles Stadium to welcome the sponsors for the 2016 Paralyzed Veterans of America‘s 36th National Veterans Wheelchair Games!  What an amazing event and we had so much fun kicking off this competition which has been taking place in SLC all week long!  Check it out!

What a turn out!  We loved being able to host for such a great group of people.  Plus, we had so much fun with the sports themed event!

Of course, we served stadium favorites like popcorn!  But we put a Culinary Crafts gourmet twist on it.  We served gourmet flavors like White Chocolate Peppermint, Bacon Bourbon, and White Chocolate Blueberry!

Aren’t the floral centerpieces fun?  Plus, we created some sports favorites at the “Lollipop Station” that were easy to eat on the go so guests could easily mix and mingle through the event.  First up?  These BBQ Wing Bites with Blue Cheese dressing that were delicious!

We also served Mini Corndogs with Ketchup and Mustard and Pretzel Bites with Cheese Sauce.  YUM!

Of course, we didn’t stop there!  We also had Crab Cakes with Creme Fraiche and Utah Beef Chuck Sliders with Beehive Cheddar, Angry Onions, and Fry Sauce.  Seriously, so yummy!

And no Culinary Crafts event would be complete without some action stations!  First, the ‘Dodger’ Dogs Hot Dog Bar!

Next, the ‘Yankee Stadium’ Nacho Bar.  Over the top yummy, I’d say!  Mmm…

This is one of our guests’s awesome Nacho Bar creations.  We love action stations that let people create their own dream eats with the best quality ingredients!

Another fun creation we served were these ‘Milwaukee Brewers’ Pulled Pork Parfaits – and just like the sign says, parfaits aren’t just for breakfast anymore!  These were a crowd favorite, for sure!

Our house made gelato was another “fan-favorite”!  Perfect for the warm summer night and a great way to round out this awesome meal!  Mmmm…

Culinary Crafts loves being able to give back to our local community as well as national organizations like the Paralyzed Veterans of America who do such great work for the heroes who have given so much to our country!  We hope this inspires you to celebrate the holiday with a spirit of gratitude and honor – as well as enjoying the day with joy and freedom!  Happy 4th, everyone!

And, because we can’t go without adding a sweet treat, we made handcrafted Pecan Rolls for every gift box.  Yum!

Last, but certainly not least, the big gift in the small package!  Each one of the recipients received a gift certificate for themselves and a guest to attend one of  Culinary Crafts’s AMAZING Pop Up Restaurants!  These Pop Up Restaurants are easily one of our favorite new facets of Culinary Crafts and we wanted to share the experience with our friends and vendors!  We are so excited to see all of your wonderful faces at our Pop Ups in the coming year!  Happy holidays, everyone!

Well, I don’t know about you, but every year I am super excited to see the Culinary Crafts’s holiday goodie basket!  It’s always filled with yummy treats that are handcrafted by our staff and packaged GORGEOUSLY!  For me, when Culinary Crafts sends out these gifts of appreciation to our vendor partners, I know it’s truly the start of the holiday season.  This year we went with a fabulously festive look with a modern feel – which I LOVE.  And check out the boxes!  All are made of wood veneer – cool right?  I love the selection of goodies too which are some of our classic, seasonal favorites!  A cupcake trio of Salted Caramel, Red Velvet, and Pumpkin; Raspberry, Peppermint, and Pistachio Macarons; Lemon Poppyseed Bread, and a selection of Culinary Crafts’s signature cheeses – which are made with the help of our friends at Beehive Cheese!  Yum!  This year, if you are looking for gift ideas, may I suggest making tried and true classics of your own, but packaging them with flair?  Not only will the recipient LOVE his or her seasonal favorite treats, but they will feel so special beacuse you packaged it with care.  Happy gift giving everyone!

2013 United Way Day of Caring!

By | Culinary Crafts Gives Back

DOC Save the Date-575x396

As some of you may know, we here at Culinary Crafts believe that giving back to the communities that we live in is one of the most important things that you can do.  For example, one of Mary Crafts-Homer’s passions is her service on the Women In Philanthropy board, who’s main goal is to be leaders of humanitarianism!  Because of this belief, Culinary Crafts is active in many events, groups, and foundations – and one of our favorites is tomorrow!  United Way of Utah County, which is an AMAZING organization, is hosting the annual Day of Caring on the 12th of September and Culinary Crafts LOVES to participate in this worthwhile day of community, volunteerism, and kindness – and you can join this fabulous cause too!  Every year, we are astounded by the amount of volunteers that give their time and love to so many worthwhile projects on this day – and we would love for even more people to join us this year.  To find out more, just click here.  But, even if you can’t help specifically with this event tomorrow, we would be honored if you would help the spirit of the event by doing random acts of kindness in your own neighborhoods, communities, or workplaces.  We can all use more kindness and love in the world!  Happy giving everyone!
