Today’s Instagram of the Week is a very special one!  This post from @lmwilkes who proposed to his beautiful fiancée yesterday at The Tasting Room – complete with a 5 course meal from Culinary Crafts!  Such a perfectly romantic night, in our opinion.  🙂  Thank you so much to Logan and his wife-to-be, Ashley, for letting us be a part of this unforgettable night!  And remember, for your chance to be next week’s Instagram of the week, tag us at @culinarycrafts or add the hashtag #culinarycrafts to your posts and you may be picked next.  Congrats again to this beautiful couple!  Happy weekend, everyone!

Pop Up Restaurant Surprise Giveaway!

By | Culinary Crafts Events, Culinary Give Back, Every Day Life at Culinary Crafts, Food, Giveaways and Contests, Parties, Pop Up Restaurants, The Tasting Room

We here at Culinary Crafts absolutely LOVE our Pop Up Restaurant series.  It is such a wonderful event which allows us to create truly one-of-a-kind dining experiences, which we love.  For our most recent dinner at The Tasting Room in Salt Lake City , our very own Mary Crafts-Homer sought to give away a pair of tickets to an unsuspecting couple – and we got it all on video!  Check it out!

It was so much fun to capture their reaction and also re-live this amazing menu again!  I’m sure we will be announcing more Pop Up Restaurant dates soon, so stay tuned!  Happy dining, everyone!

Modern, Geometric Shoot at The Tasting Room

By | Culinary Crafts Events, Event Tips and Planning, Every Day Life at Culinary Crafts, Modern Wedding Style, Hot Tips for Cool Brides, Parties, Sharing the Love -Vendor and Client Relationships, The Tasting Room, Vendor Love!, Venues We Love, Wedding Trends

Today, we have a fun and flirty inspiration shoot for you all!  This oldie but a goodie is a Culinary Crafts favorite and the team at Scenemakers did an AMAZING job of designing this shoot that was fun, but still sophisticated too!  Couple that with photography by Jessica Peterson Photography and the venue, which was Culinary Crafts’s Tasting Room in downtown Salt Lake City, and you have a recipe for GORGEOUS! Check it out!

Love the geometric hearts!  And the glitter!!!  So fun!

How pretty is this tablescape?  I love the modern feel and how it blends with the brick walls of the Tasting Room!  Just the best setting for this afternoon luncheon.

These menus and escort cards were PERFECT!  Saucy & Kitsch is simply the best!  Plus, aren’t the card holder’s AWESOME?!

More glitter!  I just can’t resist a sequined table runner.  JUST. CAN’T.

Love, love, love the florals that Scenemakers did!  And our first course, was awesome too – if you ask me, anyway! 🙂 We served a Spring Sweet Pea and Pesto Risotto topped with Tiny Asparagus Spears, a Fried Quail Egg, and Shaved Parmesan with Black Pepper Brioche.  Uh, yum!

Another fabulous snippet of these STUNNING florals.  Just beautiful!

We also served a signature beverage (of course!)  This Thyme Raspberry Cream Soda garnished with Raspberries and a Sprig of Thyme was the perfect playful drink for this shoot!  And the golden striped paper straws with the bride & groom’s names on the decorative flag was a stroke of genius!  It’s all about the details!

And of course we had a GORGEOUS dessert to round out this pretty day!  Our Mini Pear-Vanilla Bundt Cakes topped with Meyer Lemon Whipped Curd with a slice of Preserved Pear and Candied Lemon Zest was also coupled with petite cups of coffee, perfect for this early afternoon luncheon!

We here at Culinary Crafts LOVED this shoot – such a lovely stylized shoot with a team of fabulous professionals!  We also really love the trend of brunches and afternoon lunches for all of the light options and menu creativity that we get to explore.  Such a great day!  Happy inspiration, everyone!

Holiday Inspiration at The Tasting Room!

By | Every Day Life at Culinary Crafts, The Tasting Room, Venues We Love

It’s beginning to look a lot like the holidays and The Tasting Room is no exception!  We here at Culinary Crafts were SO excited to deck out our downtown Salt Lake venue – with the FABULOUS help of our office mate, Mara Marian of Events by LMG!  If you are wanting some holiday inspiration for your own house or party, look no further.   We have a little bit of everything on display and it’s brimming with festive cheer!  Check it out!

Luxe and rich, we love this look of copper, plum, and gold.  Plus, those custom-made place settings with lovely calligraphy?  GORGEOUS!

Glitz and baubles are a great accent on this tablescape.  Pairing the sequined linens with vintage cream-colored dishes and a natural touch of pinecones, the table is perfectly balanced!

I love the winter wonderland look of this purple and silver colorscape with pops of white dishware and glasses! Whimsy and sophistication in harmony!

Of course, our inspiration wouldn’t be complete without at rustic chic look!  Natural linens, wooden tables, leather place cards, recycled wine bottle glasses, eclectic chairs, and a holiday touch of the square silver chargers.  So pretty!

Lastly, our country charm holiday table harkens to yesteryear, but still is full of rich holiday details.  Love the plate detail and the accent of the red tapered candles!  A perfect holiday look.

So many different looks for the holiday!  You can always stop by The Tasting Room too and check out the fabulous tables in person!  Happy holiday planning, everyone!
