Salt Lake/Park City Bride & Groom Feature – Wedding In The Woods | Wednesday Wisdom

By

Still so enchanted with the beauty of the local bridal magazines and blushing from the wedding we were a part of that were published, we have another to share with you today!  This beauty from Salt Lake/Park City Bride & Groom magazine is just exquisite!  And with vendors like Events by LMG, Layers Cake, and Honey of a Thousand Flowers - we expected nothing short of AMAZING!  Check it out! Here's one of the GORGEOUS layouts from the magazine - with images by Jesse Erasmus Photography. The bridal party went neutral, but far from boring!  We loved the mix of tones, patterns, and style to let each person show of their own style. This fresh and simple cake from Layers Cake was a perfect fit for this elegant reception.  Plus, the invitation suite (designed by the talented bride) featured laser cut detailing - we are in LOVE! Another favorite detail was the woodland creature place settings.  They looked whimsical and beautiful - a perfect match! Check out this STUNNING reception - the Events by LMG crew are just flawless!  We loved the strung lights, vineyard tables, and gorgeous florals from Honey of a Thousand Flowers.  This was truly a unique and beautiful wedding!  A heartfelt thanks to Jessica and Dan for letting us partake in their celebration and we are also so thankful to Salt Lake/Park City Bride & Groom for featuring this wedding! Utah Bride & Groom Feature – A Timeless, Romantic Wedding | Wednesday Wisdom

By

We are excited to share the next jaw-droppingly gorgeous wedding featured in our AMAZING local bridal magazines!  This one, featured in the beautiful Utah Bride & Groom Magazine, is a classic and timeless event full of romantic and beautiful touches.  Held at the High Star Ranch, we loved the way the setting elevated this wedding from beautiful to knockout!  This New York couple wanted to create a relaxed, peaceful, and memorable day for their guests and we think it worked out stunningly!  The barn was a perfect setting for the guests's family style dinner, created and served by yours truly, Culinary Crafts!  We loved this wedding and hope you do too!  Without further ado, check it out! The GORGEOUS layout n Utah Bride & Groom magazine featuring photos from the talented Britt Chudleigh!  We also could resist sharing some of our photos from the day, so here's a bit more of this pretty wedding! We loved the chic lounge furniture admist the mountain background.  This created perfect space for the guests to relax and mingle during the reception! What BEAUTIFUL details, right?  We can't resist the natural beauty of Sarah Winward's Honey of a Thousand Flowers florals (they never cease to amaze!) and the flawless planning by Utah Events by Design. Guests we treated to Utah local cheeses and honey and passed hors d'oeuvres including Basil-Crusted Sea Scallops, Watermelon topped with Soy Glaze and Utah Pistachios, and Ahi Tuna with Sesame Soy Crisps.  They also whetted their guests's whistles with lavender infused lemonade.  Yum! The long vineyard tables, burlap runners, silver candlesticks, tall candles, and soft pink flowers created a feeling of warmth, romance, and classic beauty. Prosciutto Wrapped Lemon Sage Chicken , House Made Fennel Slaw, Ricotta Gnocchi, and Grilled Skirt Steak with Potato Artichoke Hash were the scrumptious offering served family style.  This is DEFINITELY one of our favorite ways to served dinner to guests.  It encourages interaction, conversation, and sharing - all of which is great for the joining of two families! The barn was a STUNNING venue for the vineyard tables and we loved the strung lights that created a soft light that was fun and unique! The couple's favors were S'mores, cutely packaged, naturally!  And this cake, made by Cake Dame was the ultimate in refined simplicity!  Not to mention, we loved that each tier had its own unique flavor - amaretto, lemon poppy, chocolate, and banana nut!  Delish! This wedding was SO pretty and we are so thankful that Utah Bride and Groom chose it for their 2013 edition!  Remember, there's even more beautiful features to come, so stay tuned! Hot Chocolate Bar | Wednesday Wisdom

By

One of our favorite winter wedding trends is DEFINITELY the Hot Chocolate Bar.  This beautifully chic station we set up for Taylor and James's December nuptials was a smashing (and GORGEOUS) success! Here are a few words about it from the BEAUTIFUL bride: "Hot chocolate is one of my favorite drinks and I can honestly say the hot chocolate at my wedding is the best I have ever had. presented it beautifully with flakes of milk and white chocolate to accent the drink and they even provided whipped cream and cinnamon to top it off. Many of my guests commented on how fantastic the chocolate-y drink was and my husband and I agreed." How fun and DELICIOUS!  We also loved that Taylor and James used their hot chocolate offerings as the toasting beverage for their winter wedding - so fun and unique!  There is also no end to the creative add-ins and toppings you can have as well!  Peppermint candies, caramels, homemade flavored marshmallows, coconut, toffee, sea salt, candied ginger, cinnamon, whipped cream - seriously - there are SO many ideas you could come up with!  Happy planning everyone!  And congrats to Taylor and James!  We loved being a part of your perfect day!!!  Check out more Salt Lake City, Park City, and Utah County catering at www.culinarycrafts.com!

It's full of holiday sparkle and gorgeous simplicity - and we just love that Taylor and James asked Culinary Crafts to help add to the couple's special day! Using Social Media At Your Wedding! | Wednesday Wisdom

By

With the popularity of social media, people are being even more connected and even more, well, social with each other.  Gone are the days when you had to wait until you saw your friends to tell them how awesome you thought that new movie was or how AMAZING that new restaurant was - now you can tell them, and any one else, immediately afterwards or even during your experience.  And it doesn't stop there!  Culinary Crafts is LOVING the way these modern couples are incorporating their guests experiences of your wedding day through the use of social media.  Check out this beautiful Rockabilly wedding held at the Victory Ranch, where they definitely used social media to capture memories of the day! Love the special touch of incorporating the Johnson name with the florals "Johnson Gasolene" vintage style tin cans! One of my favorite new trends is the lit-up sign!  This "LOVE" sign is a show-stopping element that set the outdoor ceremony off! Love the bling!  So fun!!! This wedding's look and over-the-top details were all designed by the talented bride - Lyndsay Marie, Bound by Marketing - how AWESOME is that? I'm sure the guests couldn't resist sharing photos of this DELICIOUS family-style dinner that Culinary Crafts created for this over-the-top wedding!  Don't you LOVE the cute flags in the sliders too?  So many yummy choices! We love our clients and love that Holly is having a blast with the bride, Lyndsay! What a stunning wedding and the Victory Ranch was an exquisite and picturesque setting, for sure!  Whether you check-in to the event on Facebook and everyone shares their own stories and photos and messages, or everyone attaches a #mywedding to their Twitter feed to engage in an ever evolving conversation and photo sharing thread, or they create an online and immediate digital photo album with everyone on your own Instagram channel - social media is making memories to be shared by you and your honey (and everyone who was present).  This is a completely different way to document and invite your guests to be a part of your day - and we love it!  Definitely think of the ways you can incorporate this to your big day - it'll create some fantastic memories and even more photos to share you wouldn't have had otherwise!  Happy planning everyone! Gorgeous Party at the Hope Gallery | Wednesday Wisdom

By

Today, I'd like to share with you an intimate and GORGEOUS party Culinary Crafts catered recently at the Hope Gallery.  Not only is the Hope Gallery one of our favorite venues anywhere, it is one of the best places for an intimate gathering where you really want to WOW your guests by the surrounding beauty!  This venue is not only stunningly appointed, but is curated to hold only the most breathtaking of art work - which is great fodder for conversation starters, I must say.  With the onset of holiday parties in our midst, we wanted to showcase some really gorgeous, yet festive linens - not to mention DELICIOUS food that will show your guests that you are really very blessed to have them at your party!  Take a look! Such a warm and pretty place to host an event!  We LOVE the Hope Gallery and all of the beauty it holds!!! I love the different, yet beautiful, use of succulents for the center pieces - not to mention the chair linens!  This is certainly a fun winter palette, or jazz it up even more with splashes of red if you'd like to have a traditional Christmas-y palette.  Thrown in more blue and silver-y tones and succulents to just call on the snow and winter-y colors for a more encompassing holiday palette. Yum!  A sit down, plated dinner is always a show-stopping way to wow every guest.  Add some truly decadent dishes and your party will be the talk of the town!  At this event, guests were served a showcase dinner featuring Utah foods and our very own Mary Crafts-Homer was on site to speak with guests and regale them with her culinary knowledge and expertise in the event world! We loved the beauty and warmth of this event and hope it inspires you to kick your own holiday parties up a notch with delicious food, gorgeous settings, and great people!  Happy planning, everyone! A Gorgeous, Elegant Wedding | Wednesday Wisdom

By

When a bride wants a truly elegant wedding, there is no place like the McCune Mansion.  Lina and Gideon's stunning wedding was a dream and a perfect fit for the elegance and beauty of the McCune.  The bright palette of turquoise, pink, and orange with beautiful burnished gold accents was simply AMAZING and we could resist showing you some photos of the event!  Check it out! I love, love, LOVE the gorgeous table linens, rosette chair ties, gold chairs, gold flatware, gold-rimmed goblets...  Did I mention the GOLD?! Lina and Gideon's wedding was amazing and really showcased how the McCune Mansion was able to accommodate a large guest count for dinner by setting up buffets and seating both inside and outside.  I loved the multiple buffets and how gorgeous their entire look was whether it was outside in the Mansion's immaculate garden or inside with the amazingly appointed rooms! Don't let the word "buffet" fool you - this dinner was TO DIE FOR and elegantly arranged for Lina and Gideon's guests.  Offerings included Herb-Crusted Prime Rib with Horseradish Cream Sauce, Teriyaki Hawaiian Butter Fish,  Crispy Fresh Vegetable Orzo Pasta Salad, Seared Asparagus with Lemon Butter and Parmesan Curls, Asiago Polenta, and our signature House Made Breads.  SO YUMMY! Guests finished the eventing with our new Flaming Krispy Kreme Donut Station, which were served with our House-Made Vanilla Gelato and Traditional Churros served with House-Made Chocolate Gelato.  True delicious decandance! Gorgeous!  We really love the way people are using gold to accent so many different styles.  Gone are the days when gold signified stuffy and traditional and we welcome the new varying gold shades in everything from rustic chic to this poppy, colorful affair!  Remember, gold is a wonderful way to add a sense of elegance and refinement to your wedding, but it doesn't mean you can't have fun with it too!  Happy planning everyone!
