An Elegant Wedding with a BBQ Inspired Menu!
By ACecala
We hope you enjoyed Culinary Crafts's casual BBQ event we posted last week, but for all you brides in the midst of planning and thinking that a BBQ maybe isn't as elegant as you'd like for your wedding, I'm here to say - hold on just a second! Take a look at this wedding - it was so pretty and elegant and the BBQ inspired food was the perfect accent for the rustic ranch nuptials. Perfectly captured by Pepper Nix Photography, I think you'll be inspired to give a BBQ style menu a chance. Check it out!
Let's start off this post with this pic of PURE JOY! We love this couple's effortless style - such a perfect blend of rustic and polished.
Isn't Red Cliff Ranch stunning? We LOVE this venue and it was perfect for this casual, yet elegant, wedding!
Although this was kind of a rainy day, the guests still enjoyed some fun games like Cornhole and Horseshoes. Who says you can't have fun in the rain? Plus, aren't the beanbags great!? I love that the couple added their wedding monogram to add a special touch!
This rustic bar is amazing. And we LOVE the mason jar that held the fun blue signature drink that the couple picked too!
How about these appetizers? Yum! Such a great variety from the Mini Cordon Bleu to the Short Rib Stuffed Mushrooms and the Pork Belly Bruschetta, there was something for every palette!
This long dining table was SO pretty and I love how everyone mingles throughout the meal! Plus, aren't the florals from Scenemakers GORGEOUS?! And, the hand painted signs were a great way to inform the guests where to go and add some style to the event!
What a way to start the meal! Spinach Romaine Salad with Asian Pears, Gorgonzola, Dried Cranberries, Candied Pecans, and Carmelized Onion Balsamic Dressing. YUMMY!
A double entree plated dinner is SO fabulous and such a great way to offer your guests a taste of each option for dinner! This plate had our Mesquite Grilled Rocky Mountain Trout with Moroccan Tomato Jam and Pan Seared Filet of Beef Tenderloin with Wild Mushroom Chasseur Sauce. Pair that with Potatoes Dauphine and Bundles of Fresh Roasted Green Beans, and you’ve got yourself a perfect plate!
I think everyone is enjoying a great meal, don't you think? :)
Now, the dessert! We served three different kinds of cake pops, and aren’t they pretty? Such a great sweet taste of something sweet without having to commit to a big piece of cake if they are full from dinner - or if they want to try them all!
Aren’t a cake (or cake pop) fan? Well, we also had a custom popcorn bar for guests with different flavors of gourmet popcorn! Delicious!
Another great food-centric detail from this wedding? The couple chose to give their friends and family gifts of local Cox Honeyland Mountain Honey and little treats. So fun!
We love the way that Red Cliff Ranch's corral lights up at night. A perfect place for guests to dance the night away.
We loved every detail of this wedding and are so happy to have been able to share it with you! Hopefully it inspires all of you out there to try out some fun menu options at your wedding! We'd love it! Happy planning, everyone!
