French Countryside Styled Shoot at Johnson Mill
By ACecala
We here at Culinary Crafts have been SO lucky to participate in such GORGEOUS inspiration shoots, and this year, we have had a bunch recently that are simply stunning! This romantic gem, photographed by Ivy & Stone and set on the grounds of the breathtaking Johnson Mill, was no exception! With a soft palette of cream, pink, and green and a bonus of fabulous lace accents, I think you'll fall in love with this shoot too! Check it out!
The fabulous couple was decked out to the nines! But, since this was more of a French Brunch feel, they kept it soft and romantic and didn't go black tie, like you might for an evening fête.
We loved the loose and organic feel of the flowers by Bloom Floral Studio!
Isn't the bride's dress dreamy? From Gateway Bridal, we love the lace overlay and the neckline was so pretty. I loved how it showed off the lace detail! And the pretty settee was perfect as an accent furniture piece from Refined Vintage Events!
We decided to create a "Herbal Tea-ni Bar" for this brunchtime menu. We served a White Peach Tea-ni, Blackberry Floral Tea-ni, and Ginger Apricot Tea-ni. Then we poured it over shaved ice, in the style of a Mint Julep, and garnished it with fresh mint. So yummy!
One of the great things about the Johnson Mill is the grounds which are unlike ANYTHING else. We were right next to a babbling brook, beautiful blooms, and gorgeous trees. All of which lent to creating such a beautiful feel and great light!
I seriously am in love with the vineyard tables with the eclectic lace linens, soft pink napkins, gold flatware, and beautiful scalloped plates from Diamond Rental. Such a pretty tablescape and the flowers looked PERFECT!
Our first course was a Grilled Apricot filled with Goat Cheese and topped with Granola Brittle and Mint - a light and pretty starter for brunch!
I loved this hand-drawn sign! Such a great detail that I think would look wonderful at so many weddings!
The second course, which kept in theme with our Tea-ni Bar, was House Tea Smoked Sea Bass with a Honey Ginger Maple Glaze and garnished with Micro Greens and Fava Beans. YUM!
More of the fabulous details from this shoot! I loved the floral crown, loose side swept braid, and the sweet hammock! It made for some great shots, don't you think?
And, last but not least, my favorite - DESSERT! The wedding cake was an Apricot Pancake Cake layered with Maple and Vanilla Bean Buttercream and we also served House-made Glazed Cronuts too, (yes, THOSE cronuts!!!) Mmmm. I mean, donuts made with croissant dough??? Sign me up!
Such a great shoot and we loved being a part of it! Thank you to Ivy & Stone for these great photos and to all the vendors who made this gorgeous shoot possible! Happy dreaming, everyone!
