The Gallivan Center Plaza in downtown Salt Lake never looked so romantic as it did for this wedding, thanks to the talents of Fuse Weddings and Events. Cheyenne and Matt are from Wyoming but wanted a destination wedding in Utah since most of their families live in SLC. She wanted local comfort food and lots of lounge seating so her guests could let their hair down and enjoy the celebration.
I love designing a menu around the atmosphere the couple wants to create. We started with a street taco station where guests could design their own taco. The bride loved shrimp lettuce wraps, so we passed those during the cocktail hour. The dinner menu was a grill-on-site, Utah-themed menu featuring flank steak with chimichurri sauce and mesquite chicken with mango salsa. Wedding cake was served for dessert, accompanied by our house-made gelato.
