Salt Lake City has a strong relationship with The American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). We catered a huge event for ASAE in 2016, after which ASAE named Salt Lake City their official “City of Innovation.” They’d been blown away with our innovative hospitality and how we were able to serve 5,000 guests at once with no waiting in lines! Two years later, when the ASAE Executive Board returned to Utah to explore the topic of innovation at their events, we were asked to host them at a private pop-up dinner following a Sundance movie screening.
We found the perfect location—a barbershop across the street from the Tower Theater at 9th and 9th. As our guests arrived from the movie, they were greeted with our butler-passed signature “Sage Wood Cocktail” featuring local Madam Pattirini Gin, Meyer lemons, and maple syrup. For the dinner, the chefs were front and center, preparing each course. Mary acted as a culinary guide walking the guests through the individual nuances of each course. The guests enjoyed many chef-prepared small plates including Snuck Farm “Kale Caesar” salad with crusty herb levain; Snake River Farm beef carpaccio and haricot verts bundles; and “Baby Hot Browns” featuring Moroni turkey, local Daly’s bacon, and Beehive cheddar, to name a few.
