Hey All,
I know that I don't post nearly as often as I should, but when I do you know it is going to be good! Today I have chosen to write about one of the funnest parts of Culinary Crafts....GELATO! There are many companies that advertise that they are serving Italian Gelato, however real gelato is hard to find here. It is much more than taking American Ice Cream and calling it "Gelato"
Since its inception in 1984 Culinary Crafts has produced its own house-made Italian Gelato. Culinary Crafts uses an authentic Gelmark 300 Ice Cream Machine imported from Florence, Italy. Now, I could go on all day about gelato, but for your sakes, I will keep it short. Gelato is Italian style ice cream and the Italians know their food. American's whip air into the cream to aid in the freezing process. Gelato is frozen under pressure so it creates a much denser, richer, taffy like product. The flavors are more intense and the product is smoother on the palate.
We recently catered the McKell wedding up Hobblecreek Canyon where we had a chance to serve 800 guests our authentic gelato. We took our dipping case, which was a huge hit with the kids. We also used our new mobile buffets to pass giant waffle cones. This is the perfect thing for a summer wedding and one that your guests will long remember.
I have included some fun pictures from the evening that I think you'll enjoy!
